Our Story

Discover the story behind Raasa – where timeless Indian embroidery meets contemporary design. We’re on a mission to empower artisans and bring handcrafted elegance into every home.

A Journey Through Threads and Weaves — From the Heart of Tradition to the Soul of Your Home

At Raasa, we believe that every thread carries emotion, and every weave reflects legacy. Born in the culturally rich city of Lucknow, our journey began with a mission — to revive, reimagine, and reintroduce the timeless art of Chikankari, Zardozi, Aari, and Mukaish to homes across the globe.

Raasa is more than a brand; it is a movement to preserve the invaluable skills of our local artisans, most of whom are women working from their homes across Lucknow and nearby rural areas. These women juggle household responsibilities while meticulously stitching each thread with unmatched finesse. Their work with Chikankari, Aari, Zardozi, and Mukaish is not only an art form but a powerful means of livelihood — and empowerment. Each creation tells their story of resilience, grace, and dedication.

Our products are thoughtfully designed using a variety of quality threads like cotton, silk, polyester, and anchor to achieve depth, durability, and brilliance in every piece. We were the first to experiment with Chikankari on curtains, blinds, and cushion covers, transforming what was once limited to garments into luxurious home décor that speaks tradition in a contemporary language. From living rooms to fashion wardrobes, our pieces add a personal and artistic touch to any space.

As we continue to grow, our commitment remains strong: to honor craftsmanship, support local talent, and offer our customers not just a product, but a piece of history, made by hand and heart. Raasa is where tradition meets innovation, and where threads become timeless treasures.
